Yes, I know. You feel terrible just about earing about prostate exam. In fact, there’s nothing more terrifying among men than the mention of it. Most of us try to avoid because of that fear and it’s true that most of us, in our thirties or fourties do not feel very concerned about it. It is one of the most important procedures that you can have done and every man should have at least one by the time he is fifty. The male prostate exam is the easiest and fastest way to detect and observe the health of the prostate. Consider it that way. No women get to that age without a mammogram. No men should reach that birthday without having made such exam.
Prostate Cancer – The Silent Killer And Why You Need A Male Prostate Exam
It’s really fearing but the facts are there: a prostate cancer can kill you in a matter of months if not treated in its early stage and the best way to detect it early is to perform a prostate exam. The cancer appears when your prostate gland cells mutate. These small clumps of cells remain within the normal prostate gland and continue to build up. Most of the time, they will expand to the surrounding tissue and form into a tumor. The process then continue when the tumor becomes large enough to reach and invade nearby organs and possibly, some cells can go into the blood stream, which as you may know, goes all over your body. As a very high possibility, the cells will leave and then attach onto other systems and cause the damage there. If not detected on time, it will too late. The cancer will have gain to much space.
Detection of prostate cancer is simple if you have an exam, but it can be extremely illusive and difficult to detect otherwise. In addition to that it becomes increasingly common in men over the age of seventy with estimates as high as eighty percent. The highest risk factor of prostate cancer is the age, but it’s not the only one. To mention some, they include genetics, race and diet. Developping a healthy diet and lifestyle can certainly limit their effects, but the most succesfull way to beat the disease is through early detection.
So, as a preventive measure, you can try to change your diet to help prevention. Be sure hat your diet has sufficient at least and excessive at best amounts of vitamin A, vitamin E, and beta-carotene. Some argue a direct link between the number of ejaculations to the probability of cancer, but no serious work has demostrated it.
So remember, prostate cancer is very aggressive as it has a high probability to propagate to the entire boy. The only and very effective way to avoid it is with a prostate exam. Consider it as a rule. No men over 30 should not consider having one.
